The Union Aviation hand control is certified to be used on the C172 by the UK CAA. We also learnt that the same hand controls can be used on the sister smaller plane, the Cessna 150 and Cessna 152. We are about to flight test the hand controller using the C152 with a permit to fly issued by the European Aviation Safety Authority (EASA). Once this is completed, EASA will add the smaller aeroplanes onto the Supplment type certificate for the Union hand control. It is cheaper to fly and train on the 2 seaters..This will allow more choice of aeroplanes for disabled pilots to fly using the Union controller.
